![]() ![]() Revelation 22:18-19 – For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. God is speaking in the above verses specifically about the book of Revelation but, by association, we can assume God will also do the same thing to anyone who adds or detracts from any of the other 65 books of the Bible because they’re all equally the word of God. In the book of Revelation, chapter 22, in verses 18 and 19, God gives us an ominous warning of impending doom for anyone who dares to add or detract from his word in any way, shape or form. The eyes of God roam to and fro across the earth to fulfill his promises because the Lord our God cannot lie and he also does not make any mistakes. The Bible is the truth of God and it contains his covenant promises. Every single word in the Bible, every punctuation mark, is there for a reason, sometimes known only to God. The word of God will endure on earth and in heaven forevermore. But the word of God, which is our Holy Bible, will not perish. One day God will burn up this earth and our universe with fire and he’ll replace it with a new earth and a new heaven. ![]()
